Default Forum sllllooowww...
As you all know the forum has been slow for quite some time, In fact the entire time since I have joined. So I have an Idea . Why don't we promote the site? what I mean by this is go to your other respective forums sites, chat rooms etc. and bring up this site for people who love Star Wars and would like to join us in are passion for it. If we all do are part maybe just maybe more people will join and the conversations will start up again. What do you say? I know we can get this forum going again

I also propose a cleaning of house, any member who hasn't posted for say 1 year his account will be deleted and for members who haven't posted for 3-4 months are given a warning and one month to start posting again or they will be deleted. This is just a suggestion but I know it will help.

possibly, though I know at least the other forum site that I'm a part of doesn't like advertising of other forums on their site, I think that's mainly for forums that are under the same subject line though but just to be safe I think everyone who plans on doing this sort of thing should speak with a moderator or administrator and make sure it's okay. probably the best thing would be to provide a link to this place in your signature with a brief description about it.

Good idea we don't want to piss anyone off lol but we still need more active members so lets try to do this eh?

I appreciate your eagerness to increase activity, but advertising forums on other sites is generally considered rude. Re-directing traffic like that is often frowned upon.

And the deletion of old members won't solve anything. If they're not posting, then they're not posting. Deleting their accounts won't change anything.

SWU will be moving to a new home in the Lattisys datacenter in Denver. This will mean a dramatic increase in overall performance for several reasons. I apologize for the speed of the site and I expect it to be resolved soon as we move into the infrastructure.

ANYWAY! as people said in my other forum, i think if we post more, than other people will have something to read and respond to. i know that if there are no new posts on the forum., i dont read any threads, or post new posts, so that is just my contribution to this thread!
