RN-E4 is a droid that Zax built at the age of 9 from a derelict probot and a nonfunctioning R2 unit. He replaced the probot motivator with a that of the R2's as well as giving it a number of the R2's working gadgets, including the arcwelder and terminal jack. Arnie is equipped with a holoprojector and HoloNet reciever. The droid vocalizes in the strange binary soundwave language as R2 units, though it still looks a lot like an Imperial Probe Droid. The blaster is still nonfunctional at this point, because Zax has been unable to locate or build an adequate replacement yet, but is a gooddeterrent for would-be attackers.

Modified Z-95 Headhunter ("The Rustbucket")
Another one of Zax's creations, on the outside the Rustbucket is a standard Z-95 with nonfunctioning hyperdrive motivators and weapons. On the inside, things are much different. Zax has been modifying the ship to make it more faster, more maneuverable, and more efficient, as well as adding a few new features to the cockpit controls and installing a socket for RN-E4 behind the pilot's seat in what used to be that passenger seat.


Bio:
Zax Dreambuilder was an orphan from birth. He was raised by Durth, a greedy second-hand shop owner until he was 6. Durth was very unkind to Zax and expected him to spend hours scrounging for wares that could be sold at the shop. When Zax returned home, tired and hungry from his work, Durth would look at the boy's finds and estimate their worth to him. If the items were in good working order and would turn a nice profit, Zax ate well. If not, Zax went hungry that night.

At the age of 6, Zax decided to run away fromDurth and live on the streets of Mos Eisley. He found that he could do the same job he had done for Durth and make enough money to eat almost every night. In fact, sometimes he kept special finds for himself and built things out of them. Among these is RN-E4, a droid he built from scavenged parts.

Zax has latent Force abilities, though he is unaware of it. He seems to be extremely good at finding new things before other scavengers do. He also has great reflexes and dexterity. He is a good mechanic and is really good with electronics and programming.

At age 11, he invented a power converter for binary evaporators that cut the energy consumption of the vaporators by 20%, and started his own side business to sell them to the moisture farmers. Shortly after, he discovered an old Z-95 headhunter in the Dune sea. With the money from his new business, he was able to repair all of the ship except the hyperdrive cores and the weapons - and even add some modifications of his own to boot. Zax taught himself to fly the Rustbucket, as he calls it, by inhibiting the engines until he got the hang of it. Zax is an exceptional pilot for his age and dreams of joining Rogue Squadron some day. Little does he know that the Force has other plans for him...
