Based on the latest version of canon, I'd say that it doesn't matter if the Sith is trained as a Sith from day one, or if they are a former Jedi. I think that the determining factor is their midichlorian count.

Well, aren't all of the Sith once Jedi, just Dark Jedi? And since there are only 2 Siths at one time, then they would all have to be train from Jedi to Sith.

But to try to answer your question that I think your trying to ask, experience training under a Master of their side would definitely help, but would not necessarily make them more powerful, just smarter in that side of the Force.

And I believe that wraith1701 is right, it depends on the midichlorian count.

Don't you think a turned jedi would have an advantage though? They grew up being trained from 7 - 10 years of age ( has i can tell from the movie) don't you think they would know more of a weakness on the jedi's part and use it against them?

i agree. a fully trained jedi that turned to the dark side would have knowledge of both sides of the force and also when facing off with a jedi the dark jedi will know how compationate to the helpless and the dark jedi can also exploit other weaknesses.
