Default Should they continue Star Wars?

The movies are all great. The stories are all great. The games are great.Should the Kingdom of Star Wars continue through the movies however?I think it should. Not just circling around today's two trilogies, like continuing their storyline, but I mean a new Star Wars story,to gain a new(and keep the old)fan base going.I don't care who would direct the Star Wars movies(it could be some homeless person)but if they stay true to the Star Wars formula, consider the fans, and make a great story with memorable characters and a great emotional standing, with some action and a good plot, then yes.

I think Steven Spielberg or even Stephen Sommers,Peter Jackson, and it being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer are good candidates to direct a Star Wars,or even one of Lucas' family,as long as they know the material.I mean did Lucas write all these stories on bookshelves? No,and still they're a great success to fans everywhere because of their stories and memorable plots and characters, and are considered part of the expanded universe of Star Wars, because the writer has engraved his own vision of Star Wars, remaining true to the original material. Now I'm not going to be narrow-minded about new Star Wars movie.

Will you?Whats your take on this subject?

I'm willing to go and see whatever Lucas plans to dish out. Although it's INCREDIBLY unlikely he'll ever consider doing 7, 8, and 9, it'd be nice to see a new crawl on the big screen.

As for movie-wise in general: Instead of making a new trilogy I think he should create a movie based on the time of the Old and New Sith Wars, or perhaps the time period of KotoR. But that's just me.

So I suppose that's a yes... In the sense that I respect whatever Lucas plans to do. If he wants to leave his saga the way it is then I'm fine, however, if he plans to continue it I would fully support that to the best of my fan abilities.

with all the money being made by books and games they won't stop, and it would be strange in twenty years to be playing a computer game based on films that were made years and years ago.

so i hope that they continue to story because in many ways star wars could be continued in films or on tv but it must be continued otherwise i can't see it being as popular as it is now in another 20 years.

Anything that happens now will draw my intrest so i can say i will watch whatever lucas does with star wars.

I Think They should do more star wars films. I don't really mind if it continues from the old ones. But it is a really great idea to start over and do like a new star wars triology. I am up for anyone directing the star wars movies but if Lucus did that would be great because he knows everything there is possibly to know about star wars! e.g. The Robots,Characters,Costumes.

But then again star wars can't go on forever can it? It's got to end sometime right?

I think it would be very interesting to see Star Wars continued. I think Peter Jackson would be a neat director, he did an AWESOME job with the Lord of the Rings trilogy (although he did change some things from the books (*cough*Faramir in TTT*cough*), but he made up for them afterwards). I don't really think Star Wars would do well as a television series, but that's just my opinion -- I'm a movie addict rather than a television addict, LOL.

Peter Jackson is great... But I don't know how Star Wars will handle with it all being filmed in New Zealand :P (Joke to you LotR fans out there)

SW movies around KOTOR would be a great idea! However, dont mind also having after-epVI SW movies but not with history repeating itself and seeing Luke or some of his offspring turn into dark side cauz it would be a cliche...a neat and original storyline would be needed in order to "keep the magic going".
