I wish I knew how to post a poll on this site. Anyway.......

A friend and I were playing Star Wars Trivial Pursuit tonight. It covers episodes 4-6 only.

I was on a regular square, not a wedge.

The question was: "Who did Obi-Wan describe as 'the best star pilot in the galaxy'?"

I answered "Darth Vader."

He said that I was wrong and that the answer on the card was "Anakin Skywalker."

He would not give me the square. He maintained that Anakin and Darth were two different people. I argued that they were in fact the same people, and that if I were going for a wedge, he could say that I was wrong. But, it was a regular question, and my answer should have been close enough. In fact, I maintain that the answer would be correct whether I was going for a wedge or not. Anakin and Darth are one and the same.

What I want to know is, do you think that Anakin and Darth are one and the same?
If so, then my answer would obviously be correct, if you disagree say so.
If not, would you still consider my answer correct?
If you wouldn't consider it correct, would it make a difference if I were on a regular square or a wedge?

They are different entities, in even a different physical form. The two should be kept separate.

Regardless, Wedge Ant. was a better starfighter pilot than both, Trivial Pursuit is wrong.

Ha Ha Trivial Persuit is wrong, OMG I actually laughed when i read that.

Wedge did not have the force to guide him. Wedge did not have an amazing technician / pilot father pass on any heredity. Wedge was not shot down in the movies. Wedge never had a pilot save him in the movies. Wedge never had a critical failure leading to the loss of a space station of the defensive. See?

I consider them the same person. The characters in the movies seem to disagree:

Obi-Wan: "[Darth Vader] betrayed and murdered your father."

Luke: "I know that you WERE ONCE my father, Anakin Skywalker."

KenixKil pretty much explained it there. A quote I read from Darth Revan’s holocron, it spoke about a transformation that takes place when you follow the dark path. Darth Malak, Darth Sion, and Darth Sidious all had a physical change when they became sith, in one way or another. The transformation can be a physical one or a mental one. About Darth Vader though, Vader killed Padame, correct? Anakin would never, never even think about that, right? I leave you with a quote from Mical, describing about the corruption of the dark side.

"It is a sign of the dark side–all your choices, they affect the flesh, rotting it, as the dark side rots you from within."

Not only that but Vader got clipped by a tie fighter that was supposed to protect him. Anakin would never in his life let something like that happen to him. What bugs me is, why didn't he sense he was about to get rammed? He had, oh idk, 5-10 seconds to just fly out of the way. He shoulda bailed when he saw the Falcon. Hello, big freighter vs. smaller but modified tie advance? But yeah, all the statements about Wedge are correct. He was never a jedi yet he pwnd other pilots. Was it not he that helped take out DS 2, and not Luke? On top of that, look who became red leader in the later years. not Luke, Wedge. All Anakin can say is that he was gold leader off and on in the Clone Wars. Vader, he can't say shet.
