In episode III where does the death star come from? how come the republic have not found it being built?

I have always thought that it was built in the outer rim so they would not find it.

It was.

in episode 3 it was being constructed in the outer rim but it was mainly constructed inbetween episodes 3-4. we never saw much of the rebels getting the plans and the empire fighting for them back in episode 3 did we.

"Many Bothans died..." it must have been well guarded also...

Well according to a book I read it was constructed in the Maw installation. which is a place surrounded by black holes with only one way in or out. Even that one way was very pearless and if one wrong calculation you could die. However in the movie this did not appear to be the case which is one thing that upset me alittle about RotS.

the many botham spies died bit actually happened in rotj not anh so it was death star 2 not 1 which the spies died for...cmon guys get your facts right!?!

they could have died in for DS 1 too...we just don't know

The "Many bothans died...." thing was for the DS2. The events to capture the plans take place in Shadows of the Empire.

Indeed it would. It sheds some light on many events that take place.

Also, they could be at the Maw Installation. It is just in the Deep Core and the Empire had the ability to easily navigate it from what I have read. Didn't they map the entire Maw and have a couple ways in?
