Ah I believe most of the story planning was done in meetings, then they probbaly wrote some of the stories simultaneously. The editors keep on top of everything fairly well, esp since they've got the bankroll to be able to hire long time editors. I mean this is their day job...to make sure the stories are integrated nicely and don't contradict canon
