Another tremendous video was released today that shows a walkthrough of a Tatooine quest. As it turns out, it’s a group quest, so we get to see how groups work. We also see a vehicle mount which should speed up transportation. Continue reading →
E3 is a big event every year, and many game companies use it to make big announcements or dangle the proverbial carrot in front of their rabid fans. This year for E3 Bioware has released a new trailer for Star Wars: The Old Republic that is an absolute masterpiece. It’s also going to be the intro movie for the game when it’s released. In the latest video release from Bioware, they show us the progression of the Trooper class. It shows the progression of armor as well as weapons and also gives us a look at the two advanced classes: Commando and Vanguard. Continue reading →
The update from Bioware today contained a plethora of information regarding your crew skills and how exactly you can get them to craft, gather, or run missions. It seems like a pretty revolutionary concept that I don’t think I’ve come across in any of the MMOs that I’ve played before. It’s a solid idea to keep you in hero mode, while still allowing you the option of picking up some scrap metal yourself. Check out this video:
This weekend at EA’s Winter Showcase, Bioware announced new information regarding warzones (PvP) and the crafting system. It’s a pretty big announcement as little detail regarding these two aspects of the game have been released until now. This has left it open to a lot of speculation wondering how they are going to pull off the typical MMO gathering system by having Darth Vader pick flowers on the road side.
On Friday they released details on one of the advanced classes for the imperial agent class in next years much anticipated Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO. They seem to so a really good job of making just about every class exciting. I honestly didn’t think that I would give the Imperial Agent any chance when I play the game, and I probably still won’t… But they do seem pretty cool. Watch the video below.
The much anticipated squeal to Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was launched today. There has been lots of excitement and anticipation for this game. For our community we’ve been able to find some deals for you if you’d like to get the game.
Here is a great deleted scene. It takes place on Bespin (Cloud City) as they are struggling with trusting Lando. I think it’s a great scene because it really does a better job at establishing the romantic relationship between Han and Leia. For your eyes only:
I could really care less about my favorite Star Wars character’s voices being on a TomTom (who buys those things anyway?), but they released a couple of videos of the the “recording sessions” and I thought they were well done and hilarious. Check them out below.
I’ve been following an interesting development in the gaming community this week. It started three days ago when someone claiming to be an EA employee (going by the handle EA Louse) decided to start a blog and blow the whistle on EA and specifically the management of Bioware Mythic which was an EA merging of Bioware and Mythic Entertainment to produce Dark Age of Camelot, Warhammer Online, and Ultima Online. Some of the same people are working on Star Wars: The Old Replubic according to EA Louse. You can see the original blog here.
